Hunain Shah credits hard work and faith after thrilling PSL win

Hyderabad Kings’ fast bowler Hunain Shah praised his team’s collective effort and personal determination after a thrilling victory over Islamabad United, which secured their place in the final.
Speaking at the post-match press conference,Hunain Shah said that every player tries to give 100 percent in every match, and he also followed the same approach. He added that he stuck to his game plan and believed that hard work, along with faith in Allah, brought him success and respect.
The young pacer revealed that he had worked extremely hard for the last six to seven months in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), especially after recovering from an injury. He described the comeback phase as challenging but said he remained focused on his goal of performing in the PSL.
Hunain Shah also credited fellow cricketer Naseem Shah for supporting him during his rehabilitation period. He said Naseem helped him deal with pressure and taught him how to handle challenges, adding that he fully acknowledges his contribution.
Reflecting on the match situation where his team needed to defend six runs, Hunain Shah there was not much discussion in the final moments. He explained that he trusted Allah and had a clear plan to bowl six yorkers, which guided his field placements and execution.
He further highlighted the importance of crowd support, saying that spectators always boost players’ confidence and energy during crucial matches.
The bowler also mentioned that the coaching staff consistently advised players to keep a clear mindset regardless of how they bowl, a principle he personally followed during the game.
Looking ahead to the final, Hunain Shah said the team aims to stay simple and focused. He emphasised that all players in the squad are match-winners and that they will continue to perform well by sticking to basic strategies and maintaining confidence.
